If you do not want to explore the source code but want to compile Smeedee from the current source code this is what you need to do.

Software you need:
  1. Download and install the required software if you don't already have them installed.
  2. Check out a copy of the latest source code from Codeplex using you svn client. This is how you do it with Tortoise:
    1. Create a folder where you would like to download the source code to.
    2. Right click the folder and select SVN Checkout...
    3. Enter https://smeedee.svn.codeplex.com/svn as the repository url and click ok
    4. Entertain yourself as the source code downloads.
  3. When the source code is downloaded go to the folder you downloaded to, and browse to the folder <Smeedee download folder>/trunk/source
  4. Open the file BuildScript_Installer.msbuild You will probably see a dialog telling you that no program is registered for this type of file. Choose to select the program yourself, and browse to c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\ There you should find a program called MsBuild.exe. Select it and choose to open the file using this program.
  5. Sit back and relax as the source code compiles...
  6. The newly compiled MSI installer is now located at <Smeedee download folder>\trunk\source\Installers\APD.Client.Web.Installer\Debug\bin

For information on how to set up Smeedee please refer to the install guide
